Furnishing an open plan extension can be a daunting task; what goes where, creating specific areas and creating a good flow without bulky furniture obstructing the view and the space is quite difficult to achieve.
These clients wanted a very muted colour palette of whites, creams, blues and greys to blend with their existing black leather suite. These colours were used on the walls, including the feature wall, the floors, the panel blinds and bespoke units. We zoned the seating area with a beautiful rug and used accent colours taken from cherished family artwork for bespoke cushions. Transparent and reflective finishes were used to bounce light around the space and the whole chimney breast was covered in a single sheet of mirror, with a small insert dressed in black glass housing a small ethanol burner. Further seating in the kitchen highlighted the new light colours from the bright window and specific accessories brought the whole scheme together.
On the patio, new tall grey plant pots complement the external frame of the doors and add that finishing touch to the whole area.
